From a Passion for Dried Flowers to a Thriving Business
Sarah Breese Design first discovered dried flowers in 2021 after a visit to a friend's home, where beautifully arranged dried stems filled every corner. This inspiration led to a journey into dried floristry, turning a deep appreciation for nature into a flourishing business.
A move from London to an old farmhouse on the southern edge of Snowdonia provided the perfect setting to nurture a love for growing flowers and working with the land. What began as a passion for arranging homegrown flowers evolved into a full-time commitment to floristry, with a focus on sustainability and artistry. With a background in fine art, Sarah Breese Design approaches floristry in an intuitive and artistic way, allowing the colours and textures of nature to take the lead. Every design is crafted using biodegradable or reusable materials, ensuring all arrangements can be composted at home, avoiding floral foam and non-degradable elements.
Partnering with LSF Wholesale
As demand for bespoke arrangements, wreaths, and farewell flowers grew, sourcing high-quality British-grown dried flowers became essential. While a selection of flowers are grown in-house and with the help of family, larger orders or specific requests require a reliable supplier. LSF Wholesale was the perfect choice, providing sustainably grown and harvested flowers that are clearly labelled as British-grown online. Plus, being just over the Welsh border allows for personal collection, minimising transport emissions and further supporting a commitment to sustainability.
Supporting Thoughtful and Sustainable Designs
A key area of expertise for Sarah Breese Design is farewell flowers, where dried arrangements provide a lasting, natural tribute. A selection of farewell arrangements uses LSF Wholesale’s British-grown apricot and white statice, oats, wheat, bunny tails, and yellow ageratum, offering families a meaningful and sustainable keepsake. The farewell flowers provide an eco-friendly alternative in an industry that still heavily relies on non-degradable materials. As a proud member of Farewell Flowers, Sarah Breese Design is dedicated to providing nature-led options for memorial arrangements.
One standout project involved a bespoke commission for Maker’s Mark Whiskey, where 15 meadowboxes were created using LSF Wholesale’s beautifully preserved strawflowers and wheat. These arrangements perfectly captured the brand’s rustic aesthetic while maintaining sustainability values.
Why LSF Wholesale?
"LSF Wholesale’s flowers are always of good quality, and their willingness to help and have conversation, answering questions and even considering new flower suggestions for future growing seasons makes them an invaluable supplier." - Sarah Breese Design
