As a 4th-generation British flower farm, we’re always learning, adapting, and looking ahead. This year, we wanted to share what we’re continuing, what we’re developing, and what we’re learning, all with our wholesale customers and the future of British flowers in mind.

Supporting Local Wildlife on the Farm

Supporting local wildlife continues to be an important part of how we farm. Last year, we planted 600 trees, alongside winter bird feeding, hedge laying, and creating habitats where wildlife can thrive. Encouraging birds onto the land helps keep pests in balance naturally, while healthy hedges provide shelter, food, and nesting sites all year round, helping both our crops and the wider ecosystem flourish.

Staying Connected

This year began with Top Drawer London and the Flowers From the Farm Conference. These events gave us the chance to meet new wholesale customers, reconnect with long-term partners, and spend time with fellow flower growers and businesses. Staying connected and collaborating within the floral farming community is incredibly important to us, and we left the FFTM Conference feeling inspired. There’s more to come, we’ll share updates here and through our newsletter.

Seed Saving for Stronger, Healthier Plants

We’re exploring seed saving on the farm, starting with single-variety, open-pollinated crops. By letting some plants go fully to seed, then harvesting, cleaning, and storing it for the next season, we’re working towards stronger, healthier flowers. Seed that thrives in our fields also supports natural pest and disease resistance, while producing healthier, more vibrant blooms, benefiting both our crops and our customers.

Germination Testing

Alongside seed saving, we’re developing a more robust germination testing system to monitor seed health. This knowledge translates directly into better growth and development in the field, helping us understand what we grow in finer detail.

Thriving with Nature

Understanding how flowers want to grow makes it easier to work with them, not against them. We’re trialling growth and structural treatments to support plants through rising temperatures, humidity, and extreme weather. Our flowers and our team are learning to manage climate stress together, season by season, while continuing to deliver consistent quality to our wholesale customers.

Moving Towards Natural Flowers Only

We continue to grow our commitment to British grown flowers, both from our own farm and through partnerships with fellow UK growers. Our journey began with food-safe dyes to achieve striking colour, but as our values have evolved, so has our offering. By the end of 2026, our entire wholesale collection will be natural, sustainable, and completely undyed.

Improving Sustainability, Step by Step

From how we grow to how we pack and ship, we’re always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact. Last year, we invested in a void-fill machine, recycling cardboard waste into packing material for parcels. We’re continually learning and updating our methods , not perfect, but always making a conscious effort to do better.

Developing Ranges That Work for You

Listening to our wholesale customers helps us refine our ranges and create dried flowers and petals that you’re proud to stock and sell. Every improvement is guided by feedback and real-world use in your stores and projects.

Sharing Real Farm Life

From seed to harvest, long days, muddy boots, and our brilliant harvest team, we’ll continue to share real farm life. It’s not always pretty, but it’s always real, and we know many of our wholesale customers value seeing the full story, not just the finished product.
