Location: Elan Valley, Mid Wales
Project: Dried flower installation at The Dreaming
Client: Clare Bowman RCZM Architects
The Project
LSF Wholesale was delighted to collaborate on a dried flower installation for The Dreaming, a healing and wellbeing retreat created by singer and wellness advocate Charlotte Church. Set within the former home of iconic designer Laura Ashley, the property has been lovingly and sustainably restored as a space for creativity, connection, and calm.
Working closely with Clare Bowman of RCZM Architects and floral artist Jennifer Krauklis-Gould, LSF Wholesale provided British-grown dried flowers for a large-scale installation at the heart of the house, the rectory.
The theme, Sunrise Sunset, reflects the natural rhythm of the day and honours the retreat’s ethos of reconnection with the natural world. The colour palette was soft and earthy, capturing the gentle transition of light from dawn to dusk.
Why Our Blooms Were Chosen
Every stem in the installation was grown and dried on our Shropshire farm. The flowers were selected not only for their natural beauty and form, but also for their longevity, perfectly in tune with The Dreaming’s values of preservation, mindfulness, and sustainability.
Our blooms included, Statice, Wheat, Lonas, Delphiniums, Limonium and Lagurus. These sustainable varieties were chosen for their ability to hold shape and colour over time, ensuring the display remains beautiful long after fresh flowers would fade.
A Full Circle Moment
This project holds a special meaning for LSF Wholesale. Over 40 years ago, our family farm grew flowers to meet the demand of the Laura Ashley boom. To now be supplying the very same home, transformed into a new creative space, is a proud moment of continuity in British floral heritage.

We are honoured to have contributed to such a deeply meaningful space and to collaborate with such visionary creatives. To see our Shropshire-grown flowers at the centre of this retreat’s story is incredibly rewarding.
